A well made plastic (reproduction) Shell globe.
This piece is reputed to originate from the famous Colyford Filling Station, said to be a favourite fuel stop of T.E.Lawrence and his Brough Superior. This globe is the same 2 piece construction as those currently displayed at the grade II listed site, with originals being too vulnerable to be outside all year round at the road side. Obtained at a retirement sale when the Colyford museum closed some years ago.
A well made piece with interesting provenance. £POA
